Hi, Do you have a Web Accessibility Statement for the Original theme and/or Mobile Interface?

    1. Sep 13, 2010

      Hi Dhyana,

Unfortunately, we don't have any Web Accessibility Statement.

Thanks for the quick response Emil.

Do you have any plans to look at accessibility standards in the future?

        1. Sep 22, 2010

Right now we don't have any plans for a Web Accessibility Statement. But I will look in to this issue.

I'd like to swap the default search function for the instantsearch function. Is this possible? If yes, what do I need to edit in order to change the search engine used? Will this automatically also affect the scroll search function or is that edited from a separate place?

Hi Jonas, do you mean the search page function or the live search function(located on all pages in the top right corner)?

      1. Jul 28, 2011

Hi Emil, I meant the quicksearch function (also known as live search) :)

        1. Aug 02, 2011

Hi Jonas, this is not possible in the current version. We are working on a feature which will allow more customization. With this function you will be able to change the search function. We haven't yet decided a release date but it will probably be released in a month or two.

Is it possible to add spaces to categories somehow programmatically? We have about 100 spaces and testing is a big pain when categories cannot be dynamically moved among themselves (make a subcategory a main category or vice versa). Every time I delete a category in order to create a subcategory with the same key, all spaces of the removed category lose their category label.

Any of these would help administration tremendously:

    1. Enable transformation of categories to subcategories and vice versa (drag and drop would be best)
    2. Enable space category administration from the Confluence Admin panel (currently each space has to be administered separately)
      1. This could either be done from the same interface as category administration (add a panel from which spaces can be selected with Ctrl+click)
      2. Or it could be a drag & drop tree similar to the Browse Pages view in Confluence (on the top level are main categories, on the second level are subcategories, on the third level are spaces, simply drag & drop to form the hierarchy)

    Thank you!

That would really enhance the usage of categories.

It would be hard to meet your demand because Refined-Wiki categories are based on confluence space labels functionality. If you delete a category all spaces with this category did  lost their reference label – they can't stay in an order with no reference available – thats why they pop-up as unassigned and a sub-category label does have an extended syntax so they can't snap back to this new label by itself because they don't know the new sub-category label.

      Possible Workaround:

I suggest that you make a final decision of what your top-level categories are and than it would not be a hard job to do, to move a minor number of spaces between subcategories. The sub-category-key (which is used as an additional space label) itself is not that mandatory because you have the sub-category names that appear to be used for linking. I often use just numbers for sub-categories – that way I don't need to change their keys by going trough a recreate cycle – I just change names of sub-category tabs names instead of their keys and assign spaces later.

      Hi Jonas,

We have been working on a feature in the last two month, which pretty much includes all your requests above. This feature will be shipped in the next version which will be released in 2 - 4 weeks.

With the new feature you can organize hundreds of spaces in minutes!

      Cheers

        Perfect! Great news. :)

      2. Aug 16, 2011

whow, did not expect that you are that far. does it include custom sorting too?

        1. Aug 16, 2011

It's including sorting of categories with drag n drop. We are still thinking about the the sorting of spaces feature. We will keep you posted regarding this.

          1. Aug 16, 2011

Well I am looking for custom sorting of spaces which is more related to the content of categories. If I could drag and drop space position within a category and it will keep its position – and will not be resorted in an alphabetical order – it would be fine.
