    Hi,

I would like to disable the Dashboard tab that shows up by default on all spaces.

Is it possible to do this??

    thanks

    1. Hi,

You can disable the Dashboard tab with CSS. You find more information about this here: Style the theme with custom CSS

    Hi,

What could be the problem if the "add page" and the "add blog post" on the dashboard keeps on loading (only the loading icon). Adding pages or blogs from any space works perfect...

    Thank you in advanced.

      sorry... Version 1.4.2 bugfixes!

  3. Hello, I'm a newcomer to Confluence and am frustrated by their removal of wiki markup. Is there a wiki markup or a way to create separate dashboard views for those that are not logged in?

We run a wiki with most of its spaces private for now, and I would like LOG IN to be very prominent on the page, and get rid of components that are not useful to public viewers.

    1. Hi Will,

I'm not sure if this will help you. The macros used on a standard dashboard will only show items that current user has permission to see. So an anonymous user will only see permitted items.

If you want to display some content for different types of users you should checkout this plugin https://www.adaptavist.com/display/AtlassianConfluence/show-to+macro

      Cheers

  4. Hello!

I would like to know if there is a way to enable on the dashboard in the list of the spaces on the left that the associated icons of the spaces show up (instead of the little globes)?

We have that functionality working for the original theme.

I can include a screen capture if it is not clear what I am talking about, if you tell me how to do so.

    Thanks.

    1. Hi Lev, we are planing on including that feature in the next version of the theme. The 3.1 version will be released in a month or two.

  5. Hi Emil,

How can I set the dashboard so that editing it will be like editing a space page rather than like a category page. I used to edit it like a space page, but someone seemed to have changed the settings that all my changes were removed and now looks like the typical category page as shown in your screenshots above.

    1. Hi,

I don't really understand what you mean. We haven't changed how you edit the dashboard and category dashboards.

Could you please give me some more details about this issue?

  6. Hi,

two questions about editing the dashboard:

    1. Can we restrict editing to a certain group of users?
    2. Especially if 1. is not possibly: can we easily see and track changes of the dashboard, i.e. is there a history for the dashboard like it is for the other pages?

    Thanks for this great theme!

    Marcus

    1. Hi Marcus,

Glad to hear that you like our theme.

This is how it works in the present version: The dashboard can only be edited by Confluence administrators. Category dashboard can be edited by Confluence administrators and members of the group category-admin-CATEGORY_KEY (More info here Edit category dashboard)

To answer your second question, the category feature has no history. This is something we will improve in future version of the product.

      1. Hi Emil,

thanks a lot. If only administrators can edit I'm fine at the moment.

        Regards,

        Marcus

  7. Emil Sjödin: Is it possible to edit the 'Dashboard' label the shows in the navigation? We'd like to have the ability to change that label to 'Home' potentially.

    Regards,

    Rick

  8. Hi, I'm having some trouble with image and text horizontal alignment on the dashboard and the category dashboards.

I just want an icon directly followed by a text (to get simple customized "bullets")

When I add the icon, space and text on a "normal" page the bottom of the icon and the text is aligned which is fine. However, when I add the very same on a dashboard the icon ends up higher than the text.

Letting XX symbolize my icon this is what it looks like:

    XX Text

    XX Text

    1. Hi Tom, Could you please provide an example code I can test with?

      Thanks

      1. Well, it's as simple as it can get.

        1. Hi Tom, I wasn't able to recreate your issue at our test instance, that's probably because we are using different versions. Could you please create an issue here: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/RWOT and we can better help you with your issue. Include which Confluence and RefinedWiki Original Theme version you are using.

          Thanks.

          1. I have filed a bug above. The versions we are using:

            Confluence 4.16

            Refine wiki 3.0.4 (evaluation)

  9. Tables on the dashboard gets a whole lot of cellpadding which is not the case if the table is added on a normal page.

    I've managed to track:

However, setting this to 0px shrinks all dimensions by 15px where left and right paddings closes up entierly but although top and bottom paddings also gets reduced there is still approximately 10px that I just can't get rid of.

    Any ideas?

    1. Hi Tom, which version of Confluence and RefinedWiki Original Theme are you using?

      1. Confluence 4.16

        Refine wiki 3.0.4

        1. Hi Tom,

Then you should try this code:

  10. Hi Emil,

Excellent theme, makes Confluence really beautiful.

Do you know if it's possible to hide the top "Add Page" and "Add Blog Post" buttons from anonymous users? In the dasboard of course.

    Versions:

    Confluence 4.2.7

    Redefined Wiki: 3.2

    Cheers

    1. I don't know a good way to solve your problem. However if an anonymous user do not have create permission to any of the spaces the button will not be visible.

Maybe this question will be better directed to the Atlassian support.

      1. Ah, it was the "Demonstration space" which had still permissions for anonymous users. That's why the buttons were still visible.

        Thank you, problem solved.
