Assign permission to a single category dashboard

This feature is only available for the version 1.2.4 and later.

  1. Hi there. Is there any way we can modify the logo associated with a category? I have modified the space logo for each space within the category, but I would also like to apply a logo (other than the global logo) to the category as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Hi Dean, not at the moment. I've added this feature to our feature wish-list.

  2. Is it possible to add or remove a column on the category dashboard. Default seems to be two columns...

    1. As confluence-administrator you will see an "Edit" button in category menu bar and within edit mode you will find that section and column macros are used to create columns. You can delete or add columns on demand.

  3. Is there a way to show category news on the category dashboard; like rw-news but limited to the category?

    1. Not right now. I've added this issue to our feature wishlist.

  4. On the global dashboard I can filter spaces (all, category, favourite, etc.) and activities (all, favourite, network, etc.). Can these be added to the category dashboards?

    1. That's not possible right now. We only wanted to show spaces from the active category on category dashboards.

  5. Two questions:

    1. Is there a way to get Confluence to use a category homepage as the site homepage? For example, one of my categories is called "Dev", and I would really like the main "Dev" page to be the site homepage for the whole wiki.
    2. Is it possible to link to an image on a category dashboard?
    1. Question1

No, you can only set the dashboard or a space as the homepage. I've added a feature request about this issue.

      Question 2

      Yes, you can use wikimarkup:

Upload an image to a page and then copy the image link.
