Assign a space to a category

Comment: Corrected links that should have been relative instead of absolute.
  1. Go to a space and select: Browse > Space Admin > Change Category (tab)
  2. Drag your space to a category or subcategory.

    Is it possible to retain the assigned category and sub-category somehow when exporting and importing a space?  what about the layout of the space?

      Hi Martin,

      A space is linked to a category with labels and labels are included in the xml export of spaces. So if you have the same category / subcategory setup on the wiki you are importing the space to it will be located in the same category / subcategory position.

      Space layout are not included if you are doing a single space export.

      But if you are doing a full wiki export(the whole wiki) both the category / subcategory and the space layout will be included.

    Hi Katie,

    You can't do that with the space organize feature. But you can do it manually by adding Space Labels to the space you want to apear in multiple categories.

    A space is linked to a category with a space label with the same nameKey as the category. So if you have three categories:

    HR (hr)

    Sales (sales)

    Support (support)

    And you want a space to apear in all of them. Go to: the space > Browse > Space Admin > Space labels and add the following labels: hr, sales, support
